Hey there! I’m Britt, owner of Snazzy Dog Pet Spa.
My journey into dog grooming began in 2014 at a corporate pet store. At the time, I simply knew that I loved animals and felt called to build a life working with them. What I didn’t yet realize, but would come to deeply understand, is how unregulated and, at times, misaligned the grooming industry can be with the true needs of the dogs in their care. Through corporate training, I attended grooming school and learned the technical art of grooming. I quickly fell in love with it. What started as a job became a passion. But as my skills grew, so did my awareness. I began to notice a disconnect... dogs were often treated as appointments on a schedule rather than sentient beings with emotions, sensitivities, and individual needs. The pace was fast, the environment was loud, and the priority was often efficiency over experience. After about five years, I transitioned into a private salon, hoping to find a more intentional and supportive space. Instead, I encountered many of the same challenges...overbooked schedules, too many dogs per groomer, and an environment that left little to no room for patience, presence, or genuine care. This not only led to burnout for groomers, but also created stress, anxiety, and fear for the dogs. What I envisioned was something different entirely. I wanted a space where dogs could feel safe, calm, and even excited to come in. A place where their emotional and mental well-being was just as important as how they looked when they left. Instead of chaos and pressure, I imagined a peaceful environment rooted in patience, understanding, and respect. So, in May of 2020, with the help of my wife Becca, Snazzy Dog Pet Spa was born. Snazzy Dog Pet Spa was created to set a new standard in grooming. One rooted in compassion, intention, and elevated care. We are committed to minimizing stress and creating positive, trust-based experiences for every dog who walks through our doors. Our approach goes beyond traditional grooming. We incorporate energetic awareness into our work, creating a grounded, soothing environment that supports each dog on a deeper level. Every appointment is unrushed and tailored to the individual, allowing us to meet dogs where they are and move at a pace that feels safe for them. At Snazzy Dog, quality is never sacrificed for quantity. We intentionally maintain a calm, low-volume environment to reduce overstimulation and ensure each dog receives our full presence and attention. Our goal is simple, yet deeply meaningful: to create a space where dogs feel safe, respected, and genuinely cared for, and where their humans can feel complete trust in the experience we provide.
We believe grooming should never feel chaotic or transactional. It should feel like a space of trust, care, and quiet luxury.
