What is a membership-based grooming spa?
At Snazzy Dog, we operate on a monthly membership model to ensure your dog gets consistent, high-quality care year-round. Instead of booking random appointments, your dog has a set spot on our schedule each month—no hassle, no waiting. It also helps build trust between your dog and their groomer.
What makes Snazzy Dog different from other grooming salons?
We're not your typical grooming shop. Snazzy Dog is a calm, boutique dog spa that focuses on your dog’s comfort above all else. We’re crate-free, Fear Free Certified, and trained in energy-based grooming techniques like Reiki. Your dog’s well-being is our top priority—not how fast we can get them done.
Can I stay and watch?
You're more than welcome to relax in our cozy lobby while your pup is being pampered! However, we kindly ask that pet parents not watch the grooming process, as it can be very distracting for both the dog and the groomer. A calm, focused environment helps us give your dog the safest and most stress-free experience possible.
Do you offer boarding?
We do not offer boarding.
Do you let the dogs interact?
No, not unless they are in the same family.
What kind of shampoo do you use?
We actually use shampoo AND conditioner on every pet. We use Showseason & CHI for Dogs brand products.
Do you use crates?
No, we are a crate free facility.
Do you accept walk-ins or one-time appointments?
No, we don’t offer walk-in or one-time grooming. To create the safest, most relaxing experience, we work exclusively with monthly members. We do offer a one-month trial for pups that want to see if they're a good fit and want to experience what we’re all about.
Do I need to keep the same appointment every month?
Yes—each member has a recurring monthly appointment, which helps us maintain coat health, emotional comfort, and scheduling consistency. We pre-book the entire year to make it easy. Need to reschedule? Just give us notice and we’ll work with you.
How do payments work?
Membership fees are paid at the start of each month (between the 1st–5th) through auto pay. A reminder is sent 3 days before your dog’s appointment. A $15 late fee applies if payment isn’t received by the 5th.
Please note: Payment is required and non-refundable, even if you miss your scheduled appointment. Your monthly payment not only covers your dog’s bath and haircut—it also secures their dedicated spot on our calendar. This allows us to keep our schedule limited, ensuring a calm, quiet, and cozy experience for every pup we care for.
What happens if my dog has anxiety or behavioral issues?
We specialize in working with sensitive pups. That said, we won’t force any dog through a service if it feels unsafe or traumatic. If needed, we may refer you to a vet or behaviorist, or adjust your dog’s grooming plan to support their well-being. We believe in patience, not punishment.
Do you groom all breeds and sizes?
We welcome most breeds under 80 lbs. Dogs over 80 lbs may be considered on a case-by-case basis and must be friendly, cooperative, and comfortable being groomed. For the safety of our groomers and to preserve the calm environment we’re known for, we’re unable to accommodate dogs who show signs of aggression or extreme stress during grooming.
